A highly experienced Consultant Radiographer/Sonographer specialising in Musculoskeletal (MSK) Ultrasound for diagnosis and intervention across both the NHS and private sectors.

Alison has worked in medical imaging since 1993, and continues to provide clinical ultrasound services while also training and mentoring NHS healthcare professionals. She is actively involved in developing and implementing both local and national evidence-based protocols and guidelines through her role with the Professional Standards Group at the British Medical Ultrasound Society (BMUS).

She also delivers presentations at national and international conferences and has served as a Research Fellow at Keele University, promoting the use of ultrasound in MSK research to enhance current clinical practice.

Alison is the co-editor and a chapter author of How, When and Why of Musculoskeletal Ultrasound (Elsevier, December 2021), and co-author of multiple peer-reviewed publications focused on musculoskeletal ultrasound and ultrasound-guided interventions.
