Amy is an experienced Nurse Practitioner since 2013 in emergency, ambulatory and same-day care settings; specialising in minor injuries and minor illness. She has experience working as an acute medical nurse, working in a Deep Venous Thrombosis clinic and a Nursing Officer working on cruise ships. Amy is confident in autonomous assessment, diagnosis, treatment and discharge, including prescribing within scope. She has demonstrated leadership in unit coordination, service set-up (helped set up two new units) and supporting junior staff. She has a strong background in acute medical nursing and urgent triage; working within NICE, CQC and local governance frameworks. Amy also has experience within investigations including root cause analysis, and recently received trust recognised award for excellent documentation and safety netting skills. Amy is currently working as a Nurse Practitioner at a MIU.
