Being a registered children’s nurse since 1993 and a non-medical prescriber since 2022, Elizabeth has worked in a variety of settings: paediatric, surgical, medical, and specialist areas. As a result, she has extensive knowledge of paediatric conditions. Her duties have seen her manage extravasation injuries, paediatric burns, and pressure ulcers and provide care for patients requiring amputations, suffering from sepsis and toxic shock syndrome, and having sustained paediatric wounds.
Currently, Elizabeth works in a specialist children’s hospital as a clinical nurse specialist in paediatric burns care, which she provides training for in pre-hospital, emergency, hospital, and intensive care settings as well as managing complex burns within a multidisciplinary team.
