Miranda Hodgkin is a Registered Nurse/Non-Medical Prescriber trained in Aesthetics and complications management and is a NMC Clinical Assessor. Miranda has been qualified in adult nursing since 1993 and has an extensive knowledge of oncology, undertaking a variety of roles progressing from a Junior Staff Nurse, Project Manager and for a substantial time as a Clinical Nurse Specialist. Her most recent experience includes haematology cancers and primary bone tumours. She has liaised with various multi-disciplinary teams within Paediatric Oncology across the Yorkshire region to assist with the delivery of a safe and effective service. She has played a key role in its development with the provision of teaching packages, setting up the foundation training, and the teaching and assessing the Link nurses to lead the service.
Miranda has recently worked closely with Public Health England to collect essential data on behalf of the trust to investigate an outbreak of pseudomonas within the Haematology Unit.
Miranda is a non-medical prescriber within private practice and is experienced with complications management within aesthetics, she regularly supports other health care practitioners to manage aesthetic complications within their practice as the attending prescriber.
