A HCPC registered Paramedic since 2012, Roy has worked across many pre-hospital settings, including as part of a DCA (double crewed ambulance), Solo response work (both frontline and as a responding officer) and part of a Hazardous area response team (HART)

Roy started his career as part of South east coast Ambulance service in 2009, qualifying as a Paramedic in 2012 before moving to South western Ambulance service in 2014. In 2016, Roy undertook national training to become a Hazardous Area response team and since then has worked various roles within emergency preparedness, resilience and response, including; front line clinical work, training and education, management and emergency planning work. During this time he has been involved with steering the national conversation around delivering emergency care in the hazardous environment. Currently back in a patient facing role with a focus on education and service improvement.

Roy has been associated with AMG Medico Legal Ltd since 2026.
