Registered nurse since 2006, having 20 years of acute hospital experience and 3 years in general practise. Specialised nurse with an advanced diploma in Tissue Viability, leg ulcer therapy, dermatology nursing, and long-term asthma management. As an instructor, I teach short courses to doctors, nurses, and other healthcare professionals about tissue viability, leg ulcers, wound care, general dermatology disorders, and asthma.

Experienced in offering advice and guidance to nurses, doctors, patients, and students in an outpatient and ward context involving plastics, tissue viability, leg ulcer management, and dermatology nursing. I’ve worked on developing standard operating procedures as well as reporting on patient safety issues and assessments. Several years of experience in minor surgeries for a variety of specialties such as maxillofacial, breast, orthopaedics, and dermatological treatments such as skin malignancies and grafting.

Current role as a General Practice Nurse Prescriber, triaging patients with complex skin and wound issues and provide treatment and referrals directly to secondary and tertiary departments.
